The Continental Congress created
the United States Army on June 14, 1775The United
States Army is primarily responsible for land combat.
The US Department of the Army includes the active-duty
Army, the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, and civilian
employees. The Army maintains combat-ready troops
for deployment anywhere in the world as well as providing
forces stationed at permanent bases around the world.

The
United States Army's Mission is:
To provide protection for the Untied States
and its interest by securing its airspace,
land, and sea interest and jurisdictions.
To provide support to civil authorities in
order to provide the protection and support
needed to sustain the United State's national
interest and stability.
To provide support during national emergencies
by assisting civil authorities in maintaining
emergency preparedness throughout the nation.
To work in concert with the three other major
branches of the US military—the Navy, the
Marine Corps, and the Air Force. Navy ships
transport Army troops, equipment, and supplies
to bases overseas.
Enlistment
Requirements :
You must be between the ages of 17 and 34.
Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
Be healthy and in good physical condition.
Score a minimum of 31 one on the ASBAR test.
Be in good moral standing.
Role
in International Security by :
Supporting humanitarian-relief efforts and contributing
to the restoration of areas devastated by war and
conflict.
Participating in security measures and programs
such as arms-control programs.
Deploying troop around the world. The US Army stations
about 65,000 soldiers in the Federal Republic of
Germany, about 40,000 soldiers along the demilitarized
zone in South Korea, about 5,000 soldiers in Kuwait
, and about 4,000 soldiers in Kosovo. Following
the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Deploying troops in about 100 countries at any
given time to provide training and military education.
