With personal debt on the rise as Americans owe nearly $2.5 trillion, USAA, a Fortune 200 financial services company serving members of the military and their families, aims to help military spouses and their households eliminate unnecessary fiscal obligations with its first-ever live, interactive, online webinar, “Wiping Out Debt – Your 2008 Action Plan."

The webinar, first in a series of online financial seminars from USAA, is geared toward the financial managers of the household and discusses the dangers of debt, recognizing good and bad debt and how to calculate personal debt. Additionally, the webinar will offer advice on digging out of debt and include a question and answer session so participants can receive free financial advice for real-life situations.

The webinar is hosted by June Walbert, a Certified Financial Planner practitioner with USAA. Walbert has provided financial advice and expertise on many national media outlets, including the New York Times and U.S. News & World Report.

“Wiping Out Debt – Your 2008 Action Plan” begins at 7 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 and is open to active duty, Guard and Reserve military spouses and members of the military. Webinar participants also have the chance to win one of 10 Financial Strategies Plans valued at $195. Those interested must register online prior to the webinar.
