The award-winning Imagine America scholarship program helps thousands of high school seniors each year to pursue a postsecondary career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States.
The leading national scholarship programs available for career education, Imagine America has met with immense praise since it was launched in 1998 by the Career Training Foundation, the not-for-profit affiliate of the Career College Association.
In its very first year, Imagine America was honored with the Award of Excellence by the American Society of Association Executives.
The following year, the Career Training Foundation was one of just nine organizations from across the United States to be chosen for the American Society of Association Executives’ Summit Award which honors organizations that "propel America forward with innovative projects in education, skills training, standards-setting, business and social innovation, knowledge creation, citizenship and community service."
Imagine America has also received strong support from numerous prominent youth and education-focused organizations. General Colin Powell of America's Promise-The Alliance for Youth endorses the program.
Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico can select up to three graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship. Students must meet the standard admissions requirements of the participating career college to which they apply. In addition, the Career Training Foundation offers the following four selection guidelines:
Likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education;
High school grade point average of 2.5 or greater;
Financial need; and
Demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year.

About The Career College Association
The Career College Association (CCA) is a voluntary membership organization of private, postsecondary schools, institutes, colleges and universities that provide career-specific educational programs. CCA’s nearly 1,000 members educate and support more than a million students each year for employment in over 200 occupational fields. These schools and colleges graduate approximately one-half of the technically trained workers who enter the U.S. workforce each year and also provide re-training for displaced workers and skills-upgrading for a wide variety of public and private employers.
The CCA protects and furthers the interests of its nearly 1,000 members by:
Mobilizing key constituents and legislators to ensure supportive legislation and favorable regulation in Congress and at the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor;
Providing timely information concerning critical education issues involving Congress, the administration, federal agencies and the higher education community;
Linking schools and students with corporate America through its Allied Member partnerships with commercial or professional organizations engaged in the business of providing products or services to CCA members;
Providing special discounts on products and services through the Preferred Provider program; and
