Military researchers think the tongue could be key in their quest to create the super warrior of the future, giving soldiers sensory powers similar to owls, snakes and fish.
Army Rangers with 360-degree unobstructed night vision, Navy SEALs sensing sonar in their heads while maintaining normal vision underwater -- scientists at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition are turning sci-fi into reality.
By routing signals from helmet-mounted cameras, sonar and other equipment through the tongue to the brain, they hope to give elite soldiers superhuman senses.
Enhanced senses by way of the tongue? This is almost too strange to be true, but it is! They've already used the technology to help hearing and visually impaired with success. If they could add sonar, heat vision and other enhanced sense they could give soldiers a clear advantage in combat, not to mention civilian uses. This is pretty out there, but amazing!

What ever it takes to quell this unholy insurgency (kill anyone who disagrees with them?) then yes let the tongues of our Army and allies use them like snakes if needed to find the vermin who wish for anything but peace, freedom and prosperety for people who have been so repressed for too long. Unfortunately the long tongues of the Al Jezzera news network will undoubtably use this post as fodder for their propoganda cannon as well. I can see it now: "American Army are morphing into snakes...evil infinels are really reptiles". Lol......God Bless our Guys/Gals way out there! You are loved here at home.
