Iran is just a few months away from acquiring the technological know-how that will allow it to build an atomic bomb, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in an interview broadcast Sunday.
Olmert flew to Washington on Sunday for his first meeting as prime minister with President Bush. The two leaders are expected to discuss Iran's nuclear ambitions.
Olmert told CNN's "Late Edition" that the key issue regarding Iran was not when it builds a nuclear bomb, but rather when it acquires the knowledge they need to manufacture such arms.
"This technological threshold is nearer than we anticipated before. This is because they are already engaged very seriously in enrichment," Olmert said.
"The technological threshold is very close. It can be measured in months rather than years," Olmert added, repeating statements previously made by other senior Israeli officials.
I want to see other experts thoughts on the idea, but if they are months away from having the technology rather than years that means they are also years closer to having a working bomb. Thankfully building nuclear bombs takes time, but now is the time to act against Iran. They clearly mean to acquire nuclear weapons despite numerous protests that they just want nuclear power. I suppose that they do want nuclear power. They kind you wield when you have nuclear bombs.

the best way to make IRAN close the atomic project. is to change the mantility of the iranian people by showing the reality fact of the US people which is base on freindship and cooperation, so that in the next elections this political team won't reach the power and the open minded team will automaticlly closed.
as long as Bush is in office anything is possible. after Bush Iran will just become another article on pg A27 in the L.A. and/or New York Times. If we do anything about Iran it will be from the air; if from the ground,um, well, the D-word comes to mind but I don't think it will come to that. I hope it doesn't come to that. but, then again, I really don't know anything.
Iran should look at U.S. history before they start smart-mouthing. If they want a nuclear war, the U.S. shouldn't back down from one. We've already used two. Iran should ask Japan what happens when you mess with the U.S. before they start acting tough!
Iran should back off now because the U.S is not going to be any nicer. They want to establish a mutual relationship. Is been many many years since the two Atomic Bomb dropped in Japan. I don't want another 2x2 to be in Iran and after that there woudn't be a country call Iran. It will be Idiot. U.S probaly already prepare with all the bomb and high tech technology in case they have to go with Iran which woudn't be good for Iran.
its good they dont have the means to shoot a missile over here, and we have the means to shoot there missle down almost defenetly. as long as we keep up our security so they cant manage to sneak the bomb in the us. thats what im scared of, i mean , what are they gonna do then, hand carry it over the mexican/us border?
well iran should think on it...coz having a nuclear war is not a matter of 2 countries ,instead it can lead upto an worldwar ...coz us iran has allies too...so both counties should reslove there issues by peace.....
When every1 like US, israel, UK etc got nuclear bomb then why not Iran whts wrong with them. If Israel can have then Iran should have other wise Israel will attack like israel did in lebanon, so every1 can protect thmeselves and there nation no matter what and how.
