DoD Readies Biometric ID System for U.S. Bases in Iraq Email This Story Print This Story

The Military is fine-tuning a $75 million biometric identification system to help protect bases in Iraq. The project is on the fast track and as soon as a few issues are worked out they'll be put into use. The system uses fingerprints, iris scans and facial photographs to imprint special id cards. The system is self contained and is designed to help protect and secure bases like those in Iraq. Read the full story.
