i just finished reading about some of our heroes. Staff Sgt. David S. Anderson, Staff Sgt. Jason P. Trumpower, and Spc. Edward Reyes. They know the meaning of being a soldier, they are willing to fight and die for their brothers out there. Then we have Watada, who runs when it gets rough. he needs to be court-martialed. it's far better to get rid of him, than have a weak link like that with our brave troops. He is a traitor to his country and his fellow soldiers.

I see what people are sayin when they say things like when things get rough people walk away but this is a different case. I wouldnt mind going to afghanistand to fight there but not iraq. He should have never been commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army! He took and oath and now he going back on his word. Prison is too good for this traitor. If it was a hundred years ago he would be facing a firing squad right now. It just goes to show you what kind of weak, shallow minded, self centered little brats we are raising.

I cannot believe that he abandoned his troops because he was a wimp. Four years in jail and a dishonorable discharge? I don't think it's enough. How dare he become an officer and then refuse to do his duty! I'm with Uncle Sam. NO BODY is going to want to hire this guy. What if he refuses to do his job in the civilian world? That will be on every employers mind. My daughter is leaving for the Marines in May. She wants to go to Iraq to support all her friends that are already there. Is this individual not a natural born citizen? Did he not join the U.S. Military to obtain citizenship? What about that? If he serves his 4 years and gets dishonorably discharged, does he get to stay in this country afterwards? I think there is much more to this story for this natural born coward. I just read the article on this coward and it states that he is from Hawaii. It includes several pictures. The one that most interested me is the undated one in uniform. correct me if I am wrong, could he not have resigned his commission with the Army and forfeited all benefits? When it was evident that we were going to Iraq, why did he not address that then instead of waiting at the most opportune moment to demoralize his troops. It says he is an "Activist", did he use this moment to promote his agenda at the cost of men and women that trusted him? There is no excuse for this and no forgiveness. There was another gentleman in the Army that did this and I have never heard what happened to him. He was an individual that did join the US Army to gain US citizenship. What happened to him? Put these two together, they can complain together as all cowards do.

I think there are a lot of watandas like that in the US forces. They are there to spy on fellow American officers and soldiers. Stern military dicsipline should follow. If he is not a natural born citizen, he should be deported after serving his terms.

The only thing about his situation is it worth it! Yes he is going to jail for so many years A millitary prison! do you think any one there is going to treat him with respect! But that is what freedom is about the choice's you can make and the lashings you shale receive!
