Shiites call for U.S. to leave Iraq Email This Story Print This Story

Al-Sadr, who disappointed followers hoping he might appear after months in seclusion, has pounded his anti-American theme in a series of written statements. The most recent came on Sunday, when he called on his Mahdi Army militia to redouble efforts to expel American forces and for the police and army to join the struggle against "your archenemy."

I guess you just can't please everybody, but the US does put a nice spin on the whole thing. This is a must read folks.

I predict that sadr will be the next ruthless dictator unless we kill him. Sadr would be much more trouble than Saddam because as a Shiite, would cooperate with Iranian nutjobs in creating instability in the region. Sadr should have been killed years ago. Is Lyndon Johnson running this war? I hope I am wrong.

Tell them we will leave their country when the terrorist are gone, and the our airports are back to normal....meaning no more TSA security. That's when we know terrorism is over.

The cowardly attitude of the West will ensure that terrorism grows. It is hard to imagine peace in Iraq with Sadr alive. It is hard to imagine Sadr not being the next ruthless dictator if the U.S. leaves prematurely. Sadr does not represent the majority of Iraqis. He represents the voice of a man knowing that he can be the next ruthless leader of Iraq with the help of Iran.

If you support the war in Afghanistan, then you are in favor of fighting in Pakistan too. After all, the enemy has retreated to safe refuge in Pakistan.

You have Sadr all wrong, or you are blinded by hate for the president. If more people would put country before political party, we might have been out of Iraq by now.

Make no mistake. Sadr has the desire and the resources to be the next dictator if we pull out prematurely. The reward for this man is great and until recently the risk has been little.
