Why there won't be a draft that addresses some of the reasons why we won't go back to a draft army (short of all out war). This article by Charles A. Krohn, a retired lieutenant colonel and recently the Army's deputy chief of public affairs, serving in the Pentagon and Baghdad, really digs into the current problems the Army is having with recruiting and actually addresses how to solve them. While it doesn't go into detail, it's the first article I've ready that shed some light on recruiting and the stat of our all volunteer army.
