Although I do believe Osama Bin Laden was behind 9/11, I feel it is partially U.S.'s fault. If I have my story straight, didn't we aide him against the Russians and then leave him and the Afghanistan people to fend for themselves way back when? Aren't we the ones who trained him in his military skills and gave him weapons? If I am correct I understand why he resents us, but don't validate his actions. That's why I feel as bad as we may have messed up, it would be detrimental to abandon such a wealthy country and have the people who appreciate us there resent us as well. Also, again if I'm correct, we had no access to there air space. It very well could have been a haven for terrorist acclivity and we had no real way to infiltrate it to know. Lee do you have any idea what it's like there aside from what you see on Fox news? Have you BEEN there, lived amongst the people there? I don't think so. It is much different than you think. Women WANT to cover themselves. It is a different world with different values. Education is a different story-there is much lack of it and it is mostly because of economic reasons. But people in the rural areas, like I said, have a severe shortage of education to learn properly what Islam really is.

Aside from that point, attacking Iraq was WRONG! They had nothing to do with 911, conspiracy or no conspiracy. If you cannot see that, obviously the educational system here is lacking too. And this unjust attack on Iraq has created MORE terrorists and will continue to do so. The whole world has turned against us because America acted with great violence and unfairness towards Iraq. There are over 80 dictators in the world, however, through diplomacy and strengthening of international laws can justice reach peoples all over the world, not barging in some country, destroying the infrastructure, taking away electricity, water, basic necessities, torturing and killing people and then expecting them to think we are so great. The freedom so important in America is actually the freedom to engaged in business transactions under a stable system of laws. If you notice in this country there is a law for freaking everything, whereas if you go to a third world country, you are free to pee on the streets. So what is so valuable in America is economic security which gives us our very high standard of living. About one percent of the world has our standard of living. When people have basic living necessities along with luxuries (cars, ipods, computers, ability to take vacations) galore, it tends to create a bubble around them that doesn't let them see the reality of how most of the world really lives.

If the uneducated people ever bother to learn something about Islam from Islamic sources (THAT DOES NOT MEAN FOX NEWS), you will see that Islam, an Abrahamic religion like Judaism and Christianity, ACCEPTS BOTH Judaism and Christianity as valid religions. No other religion does that. And doctrine commands respect of other religions. No other religion does that. Racism does not exist in Islam, where other religions (some sects of Christianity and Judaism, the white race is considered superior).
