Although it would be an interesting forum, I highly doubt that anything eye opening will come about after the conversations. This man has already denied plenty that he has been accused of. From funding terrorist cells, to having a nuclear program and so on and so forth. So why even bother with this man. I believe this is for major propaganda for Iran. Yes its all well and good that we want to respect the freedom of speech law for him and everything...but if i said fuck you! That wouldnt be right why because its wrong I used my freedom of speech but that doesnt make it right. And besides hes not even from this country in fact he along with his country hates America. Sorry for you to mistake Ahmadinejad with Hitler while Bush is alive. Ahmadinejad does not deny nuclear program he says it s a peaceful one, he says why we must not use peaceful nuclear energy while those who banned us, have and even have used nuclear weapon. who accuses Ahmadinejad the one who is killing peaple in large number in Iraq. how you can be fooled by them in 21st century? the only answer that come to my mind: either you are fed by them or you are stupid ( I do apologize but no other answer)

Inviting the Iran's president to humiliate him. Bad try. No one should accept this gesture of Colombia's Rector. It is wrong! President of Iran and Iran have its own voice and I believe USA and United Kingdom must behave as any other in the world of nations. Nor more or less. Becare, that the future or the present is indeed the United Nations and the equal voice of the countries without any feeligs of superiority. That will change, for the well being of the humanity.

That's why it would be reasonable to change the place of the UN, as Chavez said in his wonderfull speech. I believe that We, the people's, the world of nations must have courage and stop the imperialism. nothing more than good sense and respect and maybe following the teachings of Our Lord Jesus!

Its funny how the majority expects the US and UK to play by all the rules when nations like Iraq and Iran never have. Its simple fact there's no question in that. There have been many forums where he has blatently expressed his hate for Israel and denied the holocaust! And for him to allude the majority of the questions that question his motives or believes is cowardess. If he feels hes doing no wrong then speak. No games. Because i believe the president of Columbia executed his freedom of speech very appropriately. He spoke what he believed, something i wish Iran's president would have done. And no one criticized him for it. But we critize our own??? Ok, I will be the first to admit that I don't know anything about this man and am welcoming any input.
Can anyone paste legitimate newspaper URL's that discuss his crimes on humanity in his own country?
In some interviews he comes across as an extremely humane leader with rational points of view. The Holocaust issue is confusing me. He is saying it is purely academic, but he keeps saying "if it happened and assuming it happened". Is he trying to say it was a mass cover-up just so the Jews could get Israel?
If a person reads the comments on Youtube many say it was a horrible translation and not in his favor. Again, I do not know enough and would like legitimate URLs showing his crimes.
In my opinion what he accomplished by coming here, was show all of us who are ignorant about him, a humane side.
Help me please, I'm sure I need the enlightenment.

Since I missed the interview on Monday I managed to download it this morning. He does seem to be very evasive.

Also, we were told that he executed children. If in fact this is true, Why? Were these children major drug dealers?

Dear Muslims!
You know that to eliminate all kinds of vices from the world and to promote good is the responsibility of every Muslim. Allah, the Lord of the universe, says: "You are the best Ummah who have been created to show the right path to the people. You command for doing good and forbid from doing evil, and you have faith in Allah".

The Holy Prophet (SAW) has also said that everyone amongst you is a caretaker and is responsible for his subordinates on the Day of Judgement. Rulers will be answerable for the citizens of their state, every family head will be accountable for the members of his family and will be asked as to what he did for their reformation, education and better life. He will be asked as to whether he forbid them from adopting the bad ways, and helped them in leading a pious life or not. The Holy Quran has called this task as "Enjoining (People) To Do Good and Forbidding (Them) >From Doing Evil."

Respected Muslims! The world history reveals that until Muslims performed the task of commanding the people to do good and barring them from doing evil, the pious people remained dominant in those societies and there was peace and tranquility and satanic forces were subdued. But, when this collective responsibility was designated only to clerics, and the common Muslims ignored this task, in spite of the efforts of the clerics, waywardness spread quickly.

A wave of offenses, terrorism, tyranny, evils, sins, ignorance and anarchy engulfed almost every segment of life. Disorder, commotion and chaos were on the rise in the world society, wrecking the peace of all mankind.

The Holy Prophet (SAW) has warned of this danger in these words:

"I swear to the Lord Who is the Master of my soul (it is your duty that) you must enjoin (the people) to do good and forbid (them) from doing evil, otherwise, the day is not far when Allah Almighty will unleash His wrath on you, and then you will pray (for help) to Allah, but your prayers will not be answered." (Trimdi)

The world is facing disaster upon disaster every day and people are expecting a major catastrophe. The deeds that have been forbidden by God are being committed openly. The evils are increasing, while the virtues are fading out gradually. Tyranny, oppression and carnage are going on, liars and cheats are overcoming. Terrorism, bribery, corruption, evil, nudity, vulgarity and wickedness have assaulted the world. It seems we have reached inferno before the Last Day. History tells us that such a situation arises when people are being cursed by God.

It is feared that members of the previous generations will be accountable for their individual deeds on the Day of Judgment, but present generation will be thrown as a whole into hell after a collective prosecution, because the nobles of this generation remained as silent spectators instead of restraining the wrongdoers / terrorists from committing cruelty, sins and misdeeds.

The Divine punishment to an ancient civilization seconds this fear. There were three groups during that period. One was of knaves, the second was of the people who did good deeds but did not halt the disobedients from transgression. The third group was of the people who followed the Divine doctrines as well as restrained others from disobeying them. When God cursed the nation, the people exempted from this torment were those who had been observing the limits fixed by their Master and were stopping others from wrongdoing as well.

There is another but similar happening. The residents of a town had been engulfed by an ocean of sins. However, there was a noble man who was always busy in worshipping God, but he did not bother about persuading others to give up their bad ways. When God ordered the angels to destroy the town, He said: " Overturn the town on the person who was anxious to save himself from the Divine Punishment, but was not endeavoring to save others from it".

I advise the virtuous people of the world that they should not only depend upon their prayers to save themselves from the Divine Punishment; rather they should lead the Evil Doers and followers of Satan who have gone astray, to the right path. They should undertake this task against Evil Doers with full determination. Only then will their virtues and prayers save them from the Divine Punishment.

First, I want to thank you for taking the time to write this, but I have questions. To what extent are the virtuous people allowed to go, to lead the Evil Doers of Satan to the right path? If it is to use extreme measures like force and violence, isn't that against the Muslim religion?

My religion taught me that God gave us all a free will to choose. Yes, it is most definitely the responsibility to spread the good word, but not with force. That no one has the right to judge except God himself. If an individual has been exposed to the word of God and continues to refuse it, then most definitely they will go to Hell. Why is is that every religion thinks they are the right religion? If God is loving and merciful, why would he want us separated and waging war because if him? I can't help but think anyone who uses religion as the reason for war, that they really are just lying to themselves. There are always underlying reasons, land, fuel, power and so on. The truth is I'm afraid, afraid that the "virtuous" people will invade my country and take away my free will to choose. If I end up in Hell it will be my doing and mine alone. I will never understand using violence in the name of God. I do know that I like the freedom to choose. I don't want anyone to force me to choose between their way or die. If I go to Hell what is it to them. They did what was expected by Allah. They made their effort and should feel no guilt.

Is this totally wrong?
