The Army announced yesterday that it met its stated recruiting goal of 80,000 new active-duty soldiers for fiscal 2007, but senior Army and Defense Department officials said the service fell short of a larger internal goal of several thousand more troops necessary to expand the size of the overall force.

actually they only exceeded their goal by 407 recruites. which is not a whole lot and were well short of there other stated goal of i believe 83,000. And on top of that only 79% of the recruited were high school grads. which is not good. I believe we had the strongest army in the world not only because of the training but also because of the intelligence of the army. Knowledge is power.
actually no its not a bonus. Because the fiscal year has ended already i believe it ends at the end of september. So every recruit they have right now is barely cracking into this years goal. And like i said before they only exceeded their normal goals by 407 this last fiscal year. they havent even come close to what they need in order to expand the army to i believe 547,000. they have a long way to go!!!
