In the religion of Islam, it is well established that the teacher's arrest would be wrong as practicing muslims turn the other cheek to insults. This is evidenced by a famous Hadith (secondary source of Islamic law), that every day a woman used to throw trash on the Prophet Muhammad and he never said anything. One day, she did not throw trash and he went to inquire about what happened to her. He found out she was sick and gave her well wishes.

It appears that the blogger was commenting on the Sudanese locals reinforcing a stereotype that many people in the world have of Muslims. I agree with the blog that Most of the blame for what happened should lay at the feet of the Sudanese government. Who, if it had made a quick and intelligent decision, could have made all of this a non issue.
