Summer, when school is over, is the military’s prime recruiting time. But when the Army goes looking for young people to enlist, says Gen. William Wallace, it runs into an astounding fact. “About 28 percent of them, based on our analysis, are fully qualified for military service,” he said. I agree. I dont like the "its not your fault anymore way of life." to often ppl are not held to be responsible. I believe the only person that can make you fat and lazy is yourself. But i do know i am having trouble getting in to the army, because i am a bigger guy. I was active since i was in seventh grade. ive played football, ive wrestled and have done track all through high school. lifted tons of weights in high school to give me an edge and now its bitting me in the ass. it takes so much hard work for me to drop like i need to. but oh well it must be done.
I don't appreciate that you added the sentence in the article, "Is it suprising in an age where it is not your fault that you are fat, lazy, and worthless?" Even if in today's society teenagers are overweight, it's not anyone's place to call anyone worthless whether it was meant in a sarcastic manner or not. I don't wish to read the full story just because of that statement.
