Japanese Defense Agency Director General Yoshinori Ono and U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld agreed over the weekend to advance ongoing bilateral research on a missile defense system to the development stage in fiscal 2006, Kyodo News has reported.
With Japan's ability to improve technology this could be a great partnership. It's amazing to see the U.S. and Japan working together on a missile shield, the irony of which is not lost on me.
