Moral questions aside... the big question is what impact all of this has on the safety and effectiveness of some combat units.
Elaine Donnelly puts it this way, "The problem... is that those involved in sexual relationships will trust one another to the exclusion of everyone else."
And she adds... "when trust among troops is compromised, lives will be lost."
I'm sure they knew this was bound to happen. What I'm more interested in is what they'll eventually do about it. The problem is only going to get worse and something will have to be done. Will women be removed from the battle field? What do you think?

I retired 8 years ago from the army. When the army stared mixing women and men during basic training and now both serving in combat support units, we knew someday this would happen. So now society has pentatrated in our armed forces along with the media. Of course we are going to have problems. I served in combat units and we did not have this problem. Thank God I am out of the military although I will always support our men and women in the uniform.
