What Are The Chances??!!

Hi , my boyfriend just finished basic and now he is going to school in Virginia .... He comes back in October , but I am really curious about something.... I was talking to a friend of mine and they said that the Army is still getting people to go over and fight and that they will keep asking for a year or so ... does anyone know about how long they are going to keep asking people or anything?? What are the chances of my boyfriend leaving?? Please help! Anything helps! THANKS!

The chances of your boyfriend being deployed are very high but that doesn't mean that he will. In fact, there are many units in the guard and reserve componets who have not been deployed to Iraq. There is no easy answer to statisticly say if if he's going; usually the best way to deal with it is take one day at a time. To ease your fears, find out if his unit's deployability status is green or deployable. You can ask someone there by calling and asking. Afterall, there should be a family support group. But for now, tv and all other forms of media will scare you including you boyfriend who is going through the tough process of solderization. I too went though this samething with my girlfriend. Don't listen to any of that garb;the best advice I can give you is don't believe it until your boyfriend's orders are on paper.
