enlisted...now what?

ok if anybody can help me out, i live about 7 hours from ft. leardwood. and i am leaving for bct on the 31st of oct. anybody know my schedule as far as coming home and seeing family like cause i know there going to shut down camp the 22nd of dec. would i come up to my home? then go back? then after bct do i just go to ait?

yup... thats the way i understand it...you go home for i think it is two weeks for christmas and stuff, then go back. by the way, i got to basic in fort lennerwood on the 31st too, so see you there!

That is how it works. I went to basic just before Thanksgiving. Because of Thanksgiving we sat in reception an extra week. Why they didn't just hold shipments until the week after I don't know. Maybe to hold down the number of DEP losses and ****.

Anyway, we hit 2 weeks into basic, had our first 1 night FTX and then went home on Christmast exodus.
