Im Ex-British army......so i dont think i fit the basic requirments for American service..... sorry mate.......but good luck to you

I'm nervous as hell.It's normal to be nervous but keep it in mind that millions have gone before you.
A word to the wise: Keep a low profile. Be just one of the nameless masses. You know you're in deep doodoo if the Drill SGT knows your name & recognizes your voice with his back turned.
Good luck guys & thanks for enlisting in the wartime Army.
Keep us up to date on your progress when you can.

That's so funny because that's exactly what my son said when he was in basic. He got called out for something and the DS had to ask him his name so he felt like he must be doing something right. Of course, I never heard anymore about that once the DS found out what his name was. HMMMM!

Better the DS found out his name by something positive rather than the opposite!
When I was in Navy boot camp there were a few names that were always called out with a loud angry voice. Needless to say those were the guys that were constantly doing pushups.
