I am 15 now and I was thinkin about joining the army. But i dont want to be pointless. My mom told me that they would make me do what ever they needed and not what i wanted. I would like to actually gain respect and be a leader. I was just wondering about what should I do? I would like to be in charge of a small group of men eventually. I was just wondering what your opinions would be..Thanks
Keep your grades up lad and go to college and you can get a degree. Then apply to be an officer.. Alternatively, you can keep you grades up at school, get you high school diploma and look at enlisted careers, skys the limit!!... Good Luck!

Good for you baby brother...and welcome. Ex...is right.
Go to school and get the best grades you can get. Go to college and work on your grades till at least your junior year and then start to make your push to the military it's what I did and I planned well. You have to earn the right to go to OCS school...
Once you graduate bct and your Ait (MOS) military occupation specialty...you'll need a entrence score of 50 or better then you can choose any occupation you like.
Once you mastered your mos you can go to OCS school or Warrent officers school.
ether way plan now....to be the best.
Good luck

If you don't think college is for you, an enlisted career can be very rewarding as well. Just keep your nose clean and get good grades.
