Need help with Package

My close guy firend is in Iraq and we have become closer and he has sent me flowers and gifts from there. I want to send something back. I tried to send a Christmas gift and it was returned to me saying I had the wrong address. I don't understand. I need help with this. I feel bad that I haven't een able to send anything!
This is the address that he gave me:

Is that right? I read somewhere that UPS won't ship to APO? What do I do? And what do you reccomend sending over there. I have a bunch of personal stuff but I also want to send practical thing too. Please HELP!

just go to the us postal service and send it to that adress it is an address for iraq.

Check the return address on the letters/gifts from him or ask his family if they have a address for him.

Hey there!

I'm a member of Soldiers Angels, a group who sends packages to troops overseas daily...

The address should have been correct and the Post Office should be able to send it. APO is out of New York, so I don't know why they couldn't send it. (Where as FPO goes from California...)

Double check with the address and the zip code, the 09... part. There's a lot of various postal codes out there and if there's a number that's wrong, it'll get shipped back.

As far as WHAT to send... anything you can think of except for Religious Material not of the Islamic Faith (and it probably wouldn't be, so don't send it..), Glass Packaging because it'll break, Aerosol products because it's hott and it'll explode, Alcohol, Pornography. Make sure that if you send anything at all that could melt, soap, chapstick, etc., be sure to put it in a plastic bag incase it does melt and leak.

UPS doesn't send to APO/FPO's... only the post office.

You should check to see if he's still at that adddy, sometimes they move. Definately double check the address. I know it must be so frustrating... he's being so nice to you, and you want to send stuff back but can't. :(

Practicle things would be travel size hygiene items, in case they need to take some things with them on missions. this way they don't have to lug around large bottles. chap stick is good year round. Also.. in the heat.. gold bond powder is a godsend. Don't forget babywipes.... because the bathroom situation is a bit "odd" over there.
