I do not doubt that the army holds many fine good hearted people so I am saying nothing so sweeping as saying everyone in the Army is evil.

The US Army preys on the young and innocent who are in tough financial situations in demographically lower class situations. It is because in such maintained segregated ghettos the choices are either work in a jobs like fast food for 6.50 an hour while trying to survive and find a way to afford college, or try to make a living in a very dangerous life of crime running drugs or dealing with the black market to provide for your family.

Meanwhile the US Army offers a solution to your financial woes by offering you a large sign on bonus and money for college but in return you must relinquish your rights and kill upon command. Basically you must become a pawn in a game that you normally wouldn't be playing like say invading other countries for the sake of securing that nations oil supply and in the meantime killing innocent civilians in the process. Not because your family is at danger but because you are enslaved upon joining the Army to do as you are told with no questions asked which is an insult to your ability to think and act within your own frame of mind and conscience.

Before you decide to become a part of this gangster arrangement and join up you should use your mind and educate yourself about what you are getting into and what your commitment entails. You should speak to those personally who have fought in past wars and see how participating in the mass killing of civilians will effect your perspective for the rest of your life. The acts that you will be ordered to carry out which many times includes the killing of innocent civilians are acts that you will have to try and process every night you try to sleep for the rest of your life.

It is a heavy toll upon ones spirit to become a killing pawn in the name of an agenda created by those who have never seen combat and those who make decisions with your life from the quiet safety of bunkers miles away from harm.

Just know that it is your life you are pledging to these men who are so out of touch with the majority of humanity that they do not value your life nor the lives of the ones you are being ordered to kill as important as their own personal interests, greed and power.

So before you join take the time to think things through and educate yourself thoroughly as to what you are pledging your life to. Killing other humans is the lowest form of resolution to be sought and can only lead to more killing as history so plainly shows us if we are willing to listen.

Hello Mr. Delvin,

We serve in the military to ensure that folks like you have the right and ability to post messages such as the one you posted. Freedom is not free and I know your views represent a tiny minority of our great nation. Though your views disgust me and probably most who read them, I support your right to express them. There are over two million of my fellow servicmembers who put their lives on the line so you may enjoy these freedoms. KV

Mr. Delvin I am a disabled female veteran As a female I was not required to enlist or even register for the draft, However by volunteering to serve this country I and many others who are not economically challenged resent your statement that our young people are being preyed upon for mere economic purposes. I believe everyone is entitled to thier opinion and your expression of yours is a testament to the fact that without people who are willing to step forward and risk their necks your opinion would have been kept to yourself forever. I am also a mother of a seven year old son and if it came to a choice of myself volunteering to as you say kill innocent people or have my son be killed while protecting your right to be an ******* then I guess I would proudly be the hit man.

Didn't your mom ever teach you that if you can't say something nice than keep your mouth shut? The Army would have taught you this value if you were man enough to join!!! This rhetoric needs to go to a different forum and not this one. You are a disgrace to every solider and their family. SO SSHHHHHH!!!!!

i dont know if you have ever served in the Armed Forces. But you preach to the wrong croud.. The military is another way of life, we serve because we are willing people who care about others and will put our lifes on the line for people we dont even know, its our choice it is a free country and we do not fight side by side with any other persone. we fight next to a brother.

you say they make the minority join? in no way. for one yes it is a better way to live it helps them live better . it helps us think and have a future, every war has its casualties thats the price we all have to pay for freedom we so enjoy now .its always been like this . i wish there were some other way but never put down the people who pay with the most precious thing they have wich is there lifes. if not for them (us) you would not have the same rights as you so enjoy now.

We are the Men/Women who protect that thin wall,

And for the record. i just want to tell you.. If you are going to post somthing i sugest you read alot more . from boths sides buddie. because you have a closed mind and that just shows alot of ignorance from your part.
