my husband put papers in 4 months ago to transfer to active duty. every month since they have told him he should be gone within a month. a couple weeks ago his unit got put on alert for possible deployment in 2008. i thought this put his transfer papers on hold, but they told him his papers are still going through and he should be gone by July. is this just more bull crap? they told him he's going to Fort Cambell KY.

and the "possible" part, i just filled out papers for him on who he want to get his life insurance, unpaid pay, etc. in case of his unfortinate death. they issued everyone extra uniforms, and they are doing there weekend drill at Fort Knox, and Camp Atterbury, instead of there home station. looks to me that the "possible" is already known.

Did he go through a recruiter and all that already? Or has he only submitted paperwork for the conditional release?

have him check his AKO they might have his paper work all ready in there. other then that I to recommend talking with his reqruiter and say WTF over

There is a way to check Work Load Progress. He should be able to see exaclty where his papers are sitting. If they don't tell him well then that means they aren't fully doing their job. He should be taken care of the only problem is when paper sits other papers get put on top of that... Needs to be on top of it or he will be forgotten and have th re-request it.
