hi everyone my name is margot and i have a question, i am psycholgist and would like to join the army. Do i have to do all the basic training and test to join the army? or What do I do? How do u do is u have a BA? I want to be a psychologist in the army

It's like any other career field only your a soldier first. Your talking about a high career field!.

It's what you have to offer the Army not what the Army can offer you.....Your educated?

How can you ask if you have to be trained as a soldier to get in ......to be tested? you damn right your going to be tested and trained as a soldier.....

I'm a student soldier and educated and have given uncle sam everything I could.....And still do.....because I love the Army.....It's been a career choice from the start.....

The Army can help some what only after you have been trained as a soldier like the rest of us.....and your proven with no hang ups.....and no issues.

I tell ya there's no better place to be if your looking to fit in and tow the line and do your job as a soldier and as family. The Army family.

You will be deployed someday. Aft or Iraq about.....x times. Their's your answer.

Margot, youd need your head examined if you wanna be an army shrink.... lol.. I had to let that joke out, it was killing me not to....:D

On a more serious note, if you are a qualified shrink already, Id say you should go for the Officer Cadre... listen to Prof Nightflyers advice, hes 100% right, you will have prove yourself as a soldier in training, before your specialist profession.....
