I'm kinda lookin for a career in the strict area of the military. I need the family thing and I kinda like the weekend concept. Uniform looks wearable and I kinda think the National gaurd is for me. I've not got much eduction but I do have a postive work ethos and such. So I think I should do this and cvommit for the minimum term. Do you guys have any advise of webstuff I can check maybe?
Thanx

Dude (great forum name.. lol), its not a good idea to post your real name out there... www.goarmy.com is a good one for recruiting, and google "Sgt Star" aswell and you will get a virtual online recruiter... Good luck...

It is the recruiting site for the National Guard. Many of the contracts are the same, but the Guard has a few differences. You'll need to speak specifically with a National Guard recruiter from your state as opposed to talking to an regular Army recruiter to get specific info on job availabilities and bonuses.

I served three years in Army National Guard recruiting. I'm out of it now, but I still remain active on message boards in order to give people guidance. Sadly, not all of our Recruiters give the best guidance.
Send me a private message, and we can discuss your situation in greater depth offline.
