I am currently enlisted in the Air Force and I want to join the Army through Operation Blue to Green. The only problem is that I am married with a new child, and I want to become an infantryman. Does any body have any advice or suggestions, for or against, for either my wife or myself?

Man I am infantry 11 Bang Bang and I don't want to drive you away but man are you sure you know what your trying to do?

I mean I am not one to talk I am fighting a medical board to re enlist and go back to Iraq for a third deployment and most likely a fourth coming before the end of my re enlistment contract all for the men who I had lost and got injured more then myself and the bond between us men just the simple fact that everyone is getting out and I feel as if I owe it to the new troopers coming in to teach them the ropes the proper way.

But again your in the AirForce do you really know how good you got it ? Do you really know how hard it is to be 11 Bravo ? A wife and a child man get real face realistic terms please, I have been blown up by everything you can imagine tank mines to anti armor RPG's to motor rounds 5 meters away plenty of IED's you name it buddy. I am a lucky son of a gun but think about if it would been you and you hadnt been so lucky (your wife and child). I am single it's diffrent for me. I still leave ppl behind but nothing like you.

First you dont go from airforce to army, its just not done. If you want to see action try and join the airforce pararescue, much harder then army infantry. Also if you have a wife and kid its not really a good idea for the obvious reasons, if your haveing trouble with your wife you should talk to her not try and escape her via moveing to army infantry.
