Hey, I'm not looking to join army or anything, and to be honest. I'm not even sure if im on the right site, but... I got a problem. One of my friends, Charles Glad (he goes by Chuck). He joined the Army reserves around 6 months ago, maybe more, maybe less. I'm not positive, all i know is i dont have a way of contacting him, he should be in Iraq, but im not positive. I dont know, all i want to know. Is there a way, if i can find out where he is. how he's doing, If he's even alive? i dont know the answer to any of those, and i was hoping this site could, show me a listing of where he might be, hows he doing, maybe his email, or something, so i can somehow get in touch with him. Even if im on the wrong site to find out on this information, (i'm not positive if theres a difference in army, and army reserves) maybe put me in the direction of a different place.

I am certain that they won't give you direct information about how to contact him. This is because they can't be sure who you are and what your intentions are.

I'm sure you understand that you could be anyone...a bill collector, a process server...the enemy, how do they know?

My suggestion

Find out these things:

1. Where he signed up.

2. What is his unit. (ie. x Division xx Batallion). If you can find this out you will have a chance.


For example, say he is in the 3rd Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment. (long-winded, huh).

Here is what you'd do:

On the top left use the drop down menu called "Quick links".

Click on Army A-Z

Click on 3rd Infantry Division.

*Each one of the pages that come up after this point will have a unique layout, but in the case of this example.

Click on the link near the top of the page that says, "Units and Organisations"

Click on 3rd Infantry Division.

Click on 2nd Battalion 7th infantry.

There should be contact Information on this page.

Tell them what you want and offer to leave YOUR contact information.

If they are cooperative they will pass your contact information to the person you are looking for. Then it is up to him.

There are no guarantees, but this is the best advice I can give you.

They don't make it easy do they?
