Thank you. I looked and looked! Glad you enjoyed it. It's funny now, it wasn't when I was going through it, I was a mess! However, in true southern fashion, no one knew it but me!

Just me having my first major meltdown over Bubba being in Iraq. My imagination and aptitude for dramatic flair kind of took over for a couple of hours. I am better now. I have talked to him, he is fine, wants to know where his care package is. I hope he gets it, it doesn't seem like he gave me much of an address.

I'm glad everything is all right. When my son was deployed (he just got back) we'd usually get 1 phone call & 1 e mail a week from him. Then it'd go over 2 weeks & we didn't hear from him at all. It's hard holding your breath that long even for a former Navy diver!

It was a good meltdown. I can laugh now, but it wasn't funny until I was through it. I am sure anyone who bothered to watch me trying calm to myself down while I was stopped at red lights on the way home yesterday wondered what in the world was going on. Hopefully it just looked like I was singing passionately with the radio.
Yeah I have had a couple of phone calls, although none since he hooked up with his unit on Christmas Eve. He probably needs a new phone card. I would rather he call his daughter and fiance' if he's low on minutes. I get one or two e-mails a week just depending. I can deal with that. Sometimes the information super highway we live on works against me though. I am now limiting my intake of world news. I decided any news I get on his unit I will get from the FRG site. They keep it pretty well updated with the latest and it's much more positive.

That's cool, I have never been normal before. haha JK , as my daughter would say. I know, it's normal to worry and have these temporary moments of insanity. I am pretty strong when it comes to most things, I just keep telling myself that I would be worried no matter where he was. If he was still at Ft. Lewis and there was a natural disaster I would be the same way. If he was in college and it came on the news that something happened, I would be just as bad. It's a mom thing.

I'd be worry if wasn't that way.....It's late in the day for my mom to continue to worry about me...yet....."she still does" ....that said, When it comes to my mom...my girl or the mail we need our space.....2x2

I am new to this whole military life. I have a new friend that I met via email. I also always seem to worry about him when I don't hear anything from him. How can you ever really get past it with all the bad stuff that is on the news?

I don't watch the news! If I do happen to hear something, I just know in my head and in my heart that God is watching over him. If it's his time to go, it wouldn't matter if he were in Iraq, or in a bar, or in bed asleep, he's going to go. I also know that he has 30,000 brothers watching out for him, and they have all had the best training available. Now, that's what I tell myself, but I still freak out sometimes because I love him and I want him to come home in one piece.

Thanks for the advice, but I still don't know how you do it.
I have not heard from Jamie in three days, and I think I am going to have a heart attack!
He has to be the most stressful pen pal I have ever had!
