Does the army have schooling for your children if you are deployed or based in a foreign country. I was told there are basically to areas that you can not take your family Korea and Iraq. Is this correct?

family can't go to Korea or Iraq.
There are DOD schools at most all other posts. The smaller ones don't but have schools near the posts.

Thank you for the info but I did not understand it all.

DOD? Department of Defense? Shcools near the base are said to be safe I presume. OR the small bases you speak of maybe are state side?

Korea is growing and we know a few people who have actually been allowed to take their families there. Although, I am not sure under what conditions, etc... They are growing their posts and will be accepting families soon. When you live in other countries your children would be in a post- American speaking school - generally - unless you request something else. My grandparents sent my dad and his siblings to boarding schools when stationed in England... my cousins sent their children to post schools.
