Hi, I'm interested in joining the military (obviously). I am currently finishing my first year at college and have came to the conclusion that it is not for me. It's fun and all but I don't like my major and when asked what I see myself doing in 10 years I draw a complete blank.
And since I have always wanted to serve my country in the military I have more or less decided to quit college and join. The problem is that in the 2nd semester of my junior year of high school I was put on anti-depressent medication, which I continued use of for about 6 or 7 months, and then quit. I have been feeling great ever since. Can I still join the army with a small history of depression? I have asked others but have gotten mixed answers. And while I have yet to ask an army recruiter about the subject I have asked a marine recruiter around the time I graduated high school and he said no. Would the army be more lenient?
What do you think?
