We're invited and expected to attend a town hall meeting with Sen. John McCain monday at 1200hrs at coloinal firehouse..only 300 ppl will attend. I have to come home Sunday morning and get dropped off at my unit...Im to pick up my company's govt car and bring it home. I have been task to pick up my boss and several crewchiefs...It's an honor...it should be exciting and alot of fun.....

But...

Sunday night we're all attending a huge super bowl party with the works....As much food and drinks as you can handle..lol..I have to be up at 0530 hrs and get buttoned up wearing my class A's and ready to go...Oh, my dad was invited too...It's going to be crazy..lol..I have to pick up my "family" or my unit brothers, at prime time..Kids getting ready for school and the young ones running around or moms going off to work...this is going to be alot of fun. My dad said, Nightflyer, go to the party and enjoy the moment...yeah, right. I have to be cool..the last thing I need is to meet the future President of The United States with a hangover..lol..I'll keep you posted...

It is always fun to go hear those running for office. However, if he is the end choice for the R party... I will not vote or I will vote Obama to prevent Hillary... I have no interest in him as our President. Sorry man... ;)

Yea, It was exciting to meet the Sen. Sen.McCain, Showed up with his 95 year old mother..lol.and his beautiful wife. Mrs McCain, looked me in the eyes and smiled and then looked back agin..lol..He had to get remarried because she is much younger then he is.lol..We also had Rudy Giuliani and a couple of big name Republicans.. show up as well..I was suffering with a HUGE hangover...lol..all and all..it turned well..I don't really care for some of Sen. McCain's policy! ...The old timers went nuts...The number one issue for me is a harder line on boarder control....something that he's flipped flopped on in the past...I belive I'll be voting for Mit...The Dems, are too liberal for me...Still it was fun and an honor to be there.... ;)

Yeah, I have a really big problem with the boarders thing. Yeah - totally remarried. hehehe It really just depends on what the important issues are the person... if your big concern is abortion then don't vote Mitt if your worried about his flipping... but the economy and military support is something I firmly believe he will stand by.

Those are the two most important issues in my view. Even my Democrat brother is starting to see things a little different now that his nephew is in the Army. Finally!!!

I agree. It's going to take someone very strong to get all the things done that need to be done. But that's only part of it, there has to be a Congress that will work with him/her(god forbid). And we as Americans have to be supportive and open to change. I was reading on here somewhere about how we feel we are entitled. That is so true. And many of our children are being raised to feel that way too. It's going to take some work and some sacrifice to get our economy back on track. Two things entitled people don't like to do.

Yeah, he is pretty shallow though... left his first wife (a model) when he came home frmo Nam because she changed after a horrific car accident. To preserve her hubby while a POW she said not to tell her hubby about the accident - that she would deal with it to keep his spirits up. When he got home he saw she put on a drastic amount a weight, was shorter by 4 inches...and on crutches - Then went for (Isn't she) an heiress of the Budwiesser (sp?) fam... is that his current wife or just one of his many flings? I can't remember... anyway... wasn't a very warm character building story... hahaha! ;)

I decided today I wouldn't vote... I thought about Obama, but then I remembered the whole flag thing too and that REALLY bothered me when I first read it. Plus I STILL have no clue what he really stands for and HOW he is really going to change things.

Hillary and McCain are the same to me... so I am just out this year if Romney ends up not on the final ballot. I won't have it on my shoulders for the problems they both ensue...

Oh here is that article about McCain... http://www.usvetdsp.com/mcaindiv.htm Sorry it was Anheuser-Busch.... not Bud distributor... hahahaha

I hear yhah, and thanks... This is a Mitt Analysis... he still has a chance... it is just people need to stop voting like he doesn't... People need to realize HUCKABEE isn't their other choice- there is no way mathmatically he can win... He is what our staff friends said to us from Mitt's Camp....

POST-SUPER TUESDAY ANALYSIS

·Super Tuesday proved that this is a very fluid election. Gov. Romney won seven states, including Colorado and Minnesota where Republicans must be competitive in the general election.

·The nomination is by no means settled. Even assuming that McCain reaches 700 delegates once counting finishes in California, he would still need to win 77% of delegates from upcoming states to secure the nomination by April 1.

·Gov. Romney did surprisingly well in several key, battleground states. Gov. Romney won Minnesota despite Sen. McCain have the support of the sitting Republican governor and senator. Gov. Romney also did better than expected in Georgia and Missouri.

·Gov. Romney has received eleven gold medals, eleven silver medals and six bronzes. He is the clear full-spectrum conservative in this race.

Post-Feb. 5:

·On Thursday, Gov. Romney will be at the Conservative Political Action Conference where Gov. Romney will address his vision for the future of the Republican Party and nation.

·After Feb. 5, we expect to be competitive in the Kansas and Washington state caucuses on Feb. 9 and then the Feb. 12 states – Virginia, Maryland, and also Washington, D.C.

·Upcoming states will be fertile ground for Gov. Romney because the two largest states on the primary calendar between today and April 1, Texas and Ohio, are favorable terrain. Texas has a very conservative GOP primary vote and 140 delegates; Ohio's economy is similar to Michigan and the state has 88 delegates.

·Gov. Romney did well in caucus states where we focused our energy and resources. In just a few days, Republican voters will caucus in Kansas (39 delegates, winner-take-all) and Washington (40 delegates, proportional) which promise to be strong states for Gov. Romney.

Conservatives Are Coalescing Behind Governor Romney:

·Once again, Gov. Romney carried conservative voters by wide margins. Nationally, he won conservatives by double-digits, 42%-31% over Sen. McCain.

·Even in states Sen. McCain won, Gov. Romney carried conservative voters. For instance, in California, Gov. Romney won conservatives by six points, 39%-33%. Gov. Romney even won conservatives in McCain's home state of Arizona, 43%-40%.

The Republican Party Is Not Coalescing Behind Sen. McCain And Gov. Huckabee:

·Super Tuesday's results show that Sen. McCain is not the presumptive Republican nominee as he himself had expected.

·Sen. McCain made several campaign mistakes. He spent the last few days campaigning where he was the strongest – New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He also spent time in Massachusetts where Gov. Romney won comfortably.

·Gov. Huckabee is not expanding his base of support. He overperformed anywhere where there were large numbers of evangelical voters and underperformed wherever there weren't. Gov. Huckabee's lack of support is evident in his underperforming showings in AZ, CA, NJ, NY, CT and MA.

·Gov. Huckabee has lost five states to Ron Paul, including at least three on Super Tuesday.

Thanxs, I just caught up on everything I missed....:D It seems Mitt is out...Mitt Romney, was speaking at the C-span conference today and basically said he was done for the good of the Rep party..After his speech it was McCain's turn. The Sen. said, He would have a harder line stance on boarder control and that his old fashon conservative values...would lead the way.....;)
