In his orders it should say how long... just reply back and ask. ;) generally it is one year. How exciting.

Camp Casey, Korea was my first duty station. It is up north in Area 1, so family members don't get to go. We weren't allowed to drive any civilian motorized vehicle--not even a moped, and there was a curfew. He will likely have a mid-tour leave, but airfare is usually pretty expensive. They call it a hardship tour for a reason. One good thing about it though... he will be able to choose a few places in the States he would like to be stationed at when the tour is over, and there is a good chance he will get one of his choices.
