if i go 19k i was told i will go to fort knox for 15 weeks after that i get 14 days to get to my duty station what i want to know is they said i can pick up to 5 places to try to go to where are the main armor divisions located at besides fort knox i dont want to put something down that doesnt have a armor division stationed there and we really dont want to stay in kentucky was hoping for west of the mississippi fort hood fort sill fort lewis the only places on east coast would be benning or hunter is this logical second if i started talking to another recuiter and filled out basic paperwork to take the physical would this **** me up i didnt fill out a 608 only paperwork for meps like no back problems or hearing no asthma etc. i just wanted to speed things up and he said he could said i would be in about 2 weeks but he is also the kind of recuiter that gives other recuiters a bad name can i tell him to get rid of my paperwork

I believe Ft. Carson, Colorado has Armored Cavalry there yet. Ft. Hood is definitely the largest but it can get pretty desolate there. Every Army post has its good points & bad points. Ft. Knox & Ft. Carson are probably the best & I believe that there's Armor in Ft. Lewis,Wash. another pretty place.

Find out what posts have Armor divisions or Cav. divisions.

Otherwise just wait until they assign you a post. Be surprised! :D

If they tell you that the hunting & fishing are great then that probably means that it's not too good of a place. ;) (unless you like to hunt & fish & are sure they'll give you the time to enjoy those endeavors.)

thanks msg glenn i enjoy hunting and fishing alot i live i n northeast ohio i like being outdoors so that will work trying for texas though but at this point things might not work out got my juvey record back and it says i was charged with 5 counts of b and e as a minor the lady at the police station says she thinks its a typo but i have to honor what the court says so with that and a hit and run and possesion that makes 7 misdemeanors so it is probably not going to happen which makes me very mad ive put alot of effort into this plus my family was really hoping that i am doing this especially my mom

well the add to the last message my juvey record wasnt b and e it was petty theft which makes things a little better i am now getting 3 letters of recomandations so that will help very soon now i should be in cant wait things are getting better all the time
