can single moms join?

:confused: I am 25, high school grad in very good physical condition. I have a six year old son whose father is in the penitentiary. Can I join the army? Can anyone answer this for me?

i talked to recruiters couple times cause im about to join to. Well, one said that if ure single w/kids-u cant join, but if ure married and have kids u can. But other 1 said that u can do that,ppl will look after them. I dont know go to your recruiter, but if u dont have 1,go to some rectruit place in ur town, ull find 1 there
