Well I got to reserve a slot and the choice is 88m I still have to go up and do the actual contract.But the sheet say's 88m leaves june 19 and start basic on june 27th and my a.i.t. is to start 9-02-2008 I got a good enlistment bonus too and the army college fund and a thrift savings plan.I will be going to fort Leonard Wood so here I come.

Congratulations, Shorty!!


You have a little better than 2 weeks before shipping & I'll bet you're excited as well as a bit apprehensive. Just bear in mind that millions have gone to & successfully made it through BCT.

Good luck to & post when you can before, during & after your training.

I remeber i was a ittle nervious...witch i think is natural....but it was what i wanted to do...i knew that...i couldnt sit still for days

congrates shorty....work hard and you will make a good solider

Yeah I am happy and nervous but I don't try to show the nerves and just like anything else in life i'll take it one day at a time just hope I don't get stuck in reception

just hope I don't get stuck in reception For your sake I hope my son isn't at that reception station! He just got off of Active Duty with the 3rd Ranger Batt. & joined a Reserve unit. You guessed it - it's a Reception Battalion. They take their annual training at various BCT posts around the country. Stranger things have happened.

lol.... I nearly pity the Recruits coming in fresh for training by a Ranger NCO.. lol....:D

88M which is a MOTOR TRANSPORT OPERATOR or in civilan words a TRUCK DRIVER good luck dude hope you like driving

Outstanding..We told you....I remember my days with great pride. They were exciting and when I look back they were the best. At FT (Relaxin ) Jackson, SC and then - FT ( Mother ) Rucker, AL- FT (Fumble ) Campbell KY..Time goes by fast. I can't belive it will almost be year in Aug at FT Fumble. Were all still close and keep in contact all the time..FT (Lost in the woods) Awesome.

It's been along journey.(For all of us) Lol.You really had to fight for long time.I'm proud that you finally made it..Welcome to our Army.Hooah brother..Your one of us now..I know I can speak for MSG Glenn-Tacky- and Ex- jrj100 and everyone else.. When I say.Welcome to the United States Army grunt.Hooah.If your ever fly by FT DIX ...Stop by and say hello. Your a good dude and a friend. Remember... Well it is offical now I took the oath thrusday and signed my contract and everything is good to go now all I have to do is pass a fitness test before I leave which should be no problem I have until the 12th to be able to do a mile in 8 30 so I gotta get running more cause I want to blow that time outta the water thank you all for the help

No worries...Piece of cake..Once you get your training down..Aim for the two miler under 14 and change...Cya along the way...
