Hi. This may seem like a stupid question but I was wondering if I could do the National Guard and Army ROTC in college. I really want to go into the National Guard but i would also like to do ROTC. If you could please anwser that for me I would very much appreciate that. Thank you very much. :)

that is what i am doing, i am leaving for basic for national guard in 5 days, and i have been in ROTC for a year. talk to your school, and tell them what you want to do. they should tell you about the SMP - simultaneous membership program. if you are in rotc and guard, you will shadow officers and ROTC events will be priority over drill weekends. with the smp, you are not deployable for duty overseas, but, for instance, i live in florida and so when there are hurricanes, and the guard is called in to help, i will still go. but they can't send me overseas if my unit is activated. the main thing is to talk frankly with the rotc cadre and the guard recruiter. if you are honest with them about what you want and expect, they should do anything they can to make it happen.
