I'm a Polish citizen, currently living in Chicago. I cane on a J1(student) Visa and wanted to know if there was any way that I could still join any of the military outfits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To join the U.S. Army, you must be an American citizen or lawfully admitted to the US for permanent residency. The Immigration and Naturalization Service can provide information; go to
http://uscis.gov/graphics/index.htm
to start the process.
U.S. Army regulations prohibit Army recruiters from assisting or sponsoring you in to the United States. Once you have an I-551 (green card) or a document reflecting "processing for an I-551", you can pursue enlistment.
