So I'm terrified of needles. REALLY scared. So I'm gettin my blood tested I'm freakin out as usual and i finally just close my eyes talk to the sargent who was near me and took it like a man. But she missed my vein. When she told me I SCREAMED **** as loud as I could. 5 seconds later the station commander comes running in yelling "who said that? huh who said it" and i'm like no no no I'm gunna get in trouble and I havn't even been sworn in yet. But he doesnt realize it's me so i'm good. The girl then takes my blood again and when she starts she says uhoh what i'm like what you mean uhoh?? And she just said jus playin don't go gettin your panties in a bunch again.

I'm sure you'll be a better sport in the future. I've had several needles and I get a blood test done yearly. You can't be too certain with all the diseases out there! Like my base physician told me 'Viruses aren't just for computers'.

Haha, that reminded me of my friend who gives blood every four months. I went with her to the station last time and she told me what had happened once before. The guy taking the blood almost severed the vein so that she was bleeding under the skin and got this huge bruise on her arm, and of course she almost freaked out when he said that he'd try the other arm. But the guy got angry at her and said "don't you think I know what I'm doing here!" Well, if I were her I would have told him that he had just proven that he didn't, but she let him draw blood from the other arm.
Well, after hearing that story, and seeing her with a needle in her arm and the bag filling with blood I almost fainted... I was so ashamed of myself all the time...

You'll quickly get used to needles, and lots of them. It seems like everytime I turn around the damn medics are trying to stick me with a needle for yet another vaccine. Word of advice: bring your shots records with you everytime you get a shot and have it recorded. It's not uncommon for someone to try and give you the same exact shot that you just received a couple of months earlier.
