This story still makes me chuckle.
Last year, during Exercise Predators Gallop and Croc in S.W.B.T.A, northern queensland, Australia, 2 Cav were making a push into the enemy's lines (played by the us marine force there) but had overextended themselves somewhat, in their rush to mop up the remaining yanks. They pulled 80 of us sigs out from our positions to plug the gap they had created. Then we found out that our position was likely to be assaulted by up to 200 marines dropped in by helicopters. So we got dropped off in the middle of nowhere by some aslavs, dug our pits and waited. We didn't have to wait long. A few hours later, at dusk, sure enough, the sounds of helicopters flying overhead about a k from our position. The assault came about 20 minutes later, the marines not noticing our camoflagues positions until it was too late. 110 marine and 13 aussig casualties later (according to the umpires), the marines withdrew and didn't come back. We had won and saved 2 Cav from a sneak assault from the rear.
