hello - i'm wondering if anyone can give me some information about being stationed at stuttgart. Mainly I want to know about the housing and schools. We have 3 children 6, 4, and 1! Does housing have units with backyards?
Also, are there a lot of fun kid-oriented things to do around there? We are currently in Italy and do not like it very much. But I've heard such great things about Germany. We may have the opportunity to go to Stuttgart, I just don't want to go from bad to worse!
Any information would be very helpful. Thank you!

Dear a2z,

I was SO happy to hear that you might get to stay in Stuttgart.

Unfortunately, I am a German citizen so I can't really tell you much about the Army way of schooling and housing in Germany. I just know that other bases here in Germany(and surrounding areas) usually have housing units consisting of HUGE backyards mostly though not always. Nevertheless, I think you will enjoy your time in Stuttgart because it's a wonderful city with rich history and absolute beautiful old buildings! The only thing you might miss is the warm mediterranean climate of Italy-> somehow, summer in Germany does not want to start this year:(

Have a wonderful day,

Nat
