I claim to have served 3 years with the colours and 4 on the reserve in the british army from a 1955 .The last month on the reserve I was recalled for service to a Suez fiasco, this would have been a 1962? not the 1951-53 involvement.I was shot and wounded by a French Legionaire. At a later date another 1955 I received a letter telling me to report to Aytoun St Manchester UK
for a medical.I took my previous A1 medical card and was told with another man to "Get lost then".Yet another 1955 was conscripted again and decided to re-enlist ,was at a home posting for the 1956 Suez crisis I was not involved personally .The first 1955 the ACC army Catering Corps regiment were issued with lanyards my (photo) on google search NESA
lottery- roll of honor, the last 1955 enlisted when asking about lanyards was told only gunners are issued with them
