Victim of assualt needs help...
Back in May a friend of mine was arrested for assault and domestic violence against me. The DV charge was dropped on a technicality but he plead guilty to assault. This is not his first encounter with the police. Because of the failures of victim's services and the Scottsdale courts system I was unable to obtain restitution for my medical bills which equal about $7,000 not including counseling and pain and suffering. Anyway, now I need to take him to civil court for those fees. My questions are 1) How can I obtain a soldiers unit number? He is in the army reserve located in Arizona. I know his full name, position, date of birth, and enlistment date.
2) Is there a number to contact army jag?
Thanks you all so much. Any information helps

The Army is not who you need to contact, here. They do not care about a Reservist's civil lawsuits (of which this is one), and will not help you. So, contacting his unit will get you nothing. Still, his reserve unit is listed in the phone book if you want to try. What you need to do is file a civil suit against him, and as long as you can prove your case you can have a judgement entered against him. Collecting on that judgement may well prove difficult to impossible, though. But if you have the judgement in hand and he gets mobilized, you're golden. A good lawyer may be a wise investment for you, here.
Good luck!
