16 Year Old Saying Thanks
Hi, I'm just a regular 16 year-old kid, but I admire and hold the utmost respect for everyone risking their lives in Iraq to make this world a better place. My prayers and hopes are with everyone of the soldiers over there, preserving my safety and the safety of those around me back here in the United States. Alot of the anti-war media sickens me, it is my opinion that regardless of what people thought about starting this war, every single one of them should be fully supportive now that we are submerged in this battle. Good luck, and may god be with all of you!

same here
Hey, im also 16, and i have a boyfriend who is currently in Iraq, and i agree with you totally and without doubt. I know that some people believe that the youth of America are completely oblivious to whats going on in and around our country, but thats not true at all! We care and we appreciate, and we are thankful for those who are fighting to protect the freedoms that we have known our whole lives.

I'm just 17, and I hear what you are saying. I am currently trying to get into the Army as an officer (not to avoid combat mind you). I have a cousin who's a 1st Lt. graduated from West Point, I hope to follow him. The more I learn about the jobs all of these soldiers do, the more appreciative I am. There are days when I just want to give up on the academy and enlist, but I know I can do more for longer as an officer. I have already lost friends in this fight, and I don't intend to stand by and watch their sacrifice go to waste. Continue to pray with vigilence, it's probably the best thing we can do right now.

hey this is shay and i am 16 as well and my bf is joinging the army. i respect our soldiers more than anything and i sit in class in the morning at school and watch only 3 kids if that that stand up to and say the pledge and it makes me sick. no one will say it anymore. they say its a free country they dont have to and i look at them and say this wouldnt be a free country if those soldiers didnt get out and stand up for our freedom and you cant even pay them the simple thanks and reminder why we are free by saying the pledge. its rediculous! its good to know that there are other people my age that care as well.

Amen, im 15, and i pray every day for our troops safety and victory. it disgusts me to see people openly disrespecting the men and women who sacrifice their lives just so they can turn their back on the flag or criticize the president.

thank you
Thank you personally from Private first class Baker. I'm thinking of volunteering as frontline medic. I've had nothing but putdowns from friends and family about this, but I feel it's just something that is needed. It's warming and encouraging to have people like you thanking us.
