Default College Education with Army Special Forces

Do you need a college education to join the Army Special Forces? I know you are not required to have a college education to become an Army Ranger (since you can join after high school), but I was just wondering if Army Special Forces was different? Or does getting accepted into Army Special Forces depend on your previous military combat training (like Ranger and Airborne training/ 2 years of experience) and not a college degree?

You do not need a college degree to enlist with an 18X (Special Forces) contract. SF used to require prior service experience, however, the 18X contract (at this time) allows you, if you meet the criteria, to enlist after high school.

The contract doesn't mean you WILL be a Special Forces soldier, but it gives you the opportunity to become one.

I would like to add that I believe they added an age requirement to the 18x program. You must be at least 20 years old now.

You must be at least 20 by the time you complete OSUT, yes.
