Default Active Duty Compared to Reserves

Ok I've been looking all over the place and I can't find the one thing I'm looking for. Ok I've been thinking about joining the Army Reserves. My thing is, do they go through the same BCT as regular or is there a difference. Because if it's the same thing I might as well go for the regular as the reserves. At least that way I know i'll be taken care of for the next 2+ years. I've got a little time before I do anything, I'm taking the summer to get some physical training done. You know make sure I can do as much or more than the minimum. Thanks guys
Eric

Really??... In Ireland, the reserve training is pathetic, they are trying to lift the standards, but they are not combat ready AT ALL...... Regular basic is 4 weeks "induction" and 16 weeks basic when I did it. Advanced was another 6 weeks of tactical training, and then to units. I got another 3 months of training there, before I went fully operational..... cant imagine any of our reserves doing that ever..... US is obviously different... fair play.... more men for deployment operationally...
