Default Can some British or US military explain this behavor for me?

Hi
I currently going out for my first operation to join the Swedish battalion in Afganistan...after 1,5 year training in Sweden. Lots of training how to deal with the civilians and culture thing.

And after looking around what to expect out there , of the time with the other army forces we going to work with ..i found some disturbing things..on the net As this video clip shows clearly...British trops in Iraq just randombly shooting civilians? Someone else have seen this? Its not strange that we have terrorists in the world after you have seen happens in your own country. What shuld you do if this happend in your own hometown? Just say...well this happens in a war ? I really thinking about to not go for the peace keeping force..this is really discusting.

Default Troops randomly shooting civilians?

Well, Jahan. Perhaps a trip to Afghanistan will do you some good. Your views on things seem overly simplistic, dude. It's almost certain that the events on whatever propoganda video you saw did not create these terrorists; not that the videos aren't correct. As far as I can remember, these folks have been kidnapping reporters, aid workers and whomever else they can find with their guard down and executing them in the name of their god. My question is this; why is it that whenever someone criticise the war they always overlook the massive car bombs, the lone suicide bomber, the random mortar attacks, kidnapping and mass execution--a majority of which are directed at civilians. If you were honest with your self, Johan, and crimes against humanity really affected you then these mass attacks against civilians which you see in the news every single day is what would truely affect you--not some video that shows up every few months purportedly showing some joe who apparently lost his so-called moral compass. The war isn't gonna change one way or the other whether you choose to go or not, Johan. Make your decision based on your personal beliefs. Not me, not a video or any other idiot for in the end you're left with yourself to deal with.

My word, the psychopath is still posting under that account.

He started this idea of posting under different accounts because he's socially-insecure (bullied in school), and feels embarrassed to reveal his views through his proper account (Texas) in case people won't like him. He is also lonely, and requires the excitement to lighten up his dull life. The only way to sort-out lonely, scared, socially-insecure little boys like this one is to ignore them - that's exactly what this person is trying to not get people to do.

Perfect example. Everything he says is designed to provoke a reaction, so people will talk to him; much like an annoying child would do (caused by stunted emotional development from lack of social interaction).

as valid that this point is that your making..
and all of you before him goddamn it..
has nothing to do with the vid.
outcluding Rock-Steady.. who went for the individuals decision making.. which
does work in the States where culture promotes individuality.. but is poison to effective
army ops.. makes you weight the pro's and con's of easing the recrutement level's for better headcount eh? the thing is that we all have certain "fuses".

and something lighted this guys wire bigtime.

it is also highly probable that this flic is a forgery.

but if its not it just demonstrates how a person without any real sense of right or wrong
would do... (psycho) in surroundings wich are "plesent" for such behavior.
totally mad, totaly under and way beyand the military standards (what i know of) and anything else for that matter. i would gladly shoot this guy to some non vital area.(balls maybe?) forgery or not.. anyone who made it.

and for Johan.. Northern peace keeping forces are respectable bunch and
well trained for the tasks at hand. this vid shows something which
might not be true.. but the fact is that if you go.. you might be judged
by the behavior of others.. which is just friggin sad.
but when you what you are tought to do.. do it with pride.
both our countries have a history of cleaning
up messes made by others and participating all we can.
so where does the honour stand in the end?

there is no way to measure the importance of making sure that
people who go to the conflict areas should have
their heads checked before they are given a fire arm to wield.
well this goes for every gun and every hand.
every gun wields the power to kill, and every hand
is controlled by someones brain...

if the reasoning is a loose.. that hand doesn't deserve to
bear a gun. unfortunately, this is the disease of our time.
