Mid-College Training
I'm going to be a college junior as of september, and I'm wondering if there is any summer officer training program in the army. I know the Marines have the "Platoon Leader Class", which two of my friends have gone to, basically 10 weeks of training to allow entry as an officer after college. If there was something similar I could do for the Army next summer before necessarily committing to enlist and doing BCT after graduation, I'd definitely be interested. I'm in excellent shape and on my way to getting a degree from a good college, and though I'm thinking about the Army I of course want to finish school first and it would be nice to get a taste of what enlistment is like before just shipping off. Any advice?

ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) http://www.army.com/enlist/rotc.html there's you a link to a page on this site about it. Good luck.

Forget about enlisting. Do your officer thing, do the Air Assault course, Airborne Training, and Ranger School. You'll become familiar with enlisted life and gain some valuable training in the process.
If you do these things relatively close together, it will probably be easier to stay in shape for each, and recall more stuff that could help you in each.
