Default 50 year contract

I heard that we (as in the U.S.) just signed a 50 year contract to stay in Iraq. Any truth to this???

I would not think it likely as the government is as unstable in Iraq as the country itself....

That'll be the petroleum companies lease agreement ,due to be reviewed in 50 years time

Pragmatic, but true..... well said!!... If they were to be rescued from tyranny, the Marsh Arabs in 1991 would have being saved... that would have been a good time to give the UN the 2 fingers for humatarian reasons.... and EU would have gone along with it too...
