Default So much red tape

Hey my husband has recently enlisted in the Army and is getting frustrated because of all the red tape there is to get going. He enlisted about 6 weeks ago and they told him he would be in basic by mid Sept. However every week the recruiter comes up with something new that has to be done, which pushes the time back a week or two. Also the recruiter can not even give him a quess at what possible location he will have his BT. Don't they have some short of idea?????? I understand the clearance procedures and such but i have heard of individuals getting in alot faster. My husband is 37 and is worried things will fall thru if he doesnt get going soon.Any suggestions???!!!

Unhappy

Well he finally made it to MEPS day after Labor Day to be told he passed everything but his blood pressure was too high. He has never had any medical problems especially blood pressure. I told him it probably had to do with being nervous,an empty stomach and smoking a few cigs before the exam. BUT now he is being told he will have to see a DR to have him cleared then he MIGHT recv a medical waiver. Now he's really frustrated and ready to just say forget about it. We don't have ins to even send him to the Dr.
