Red face Does it really take that long?

I have read that it can take up to 30 days to get teh first check. That is scary with 3 kids. My husband is the one who worked. It was cheaper for me to stay home then to pay daycare. So, does it really take that long? If he gets a sign on bonus will he get any upfront before he leaves? How does that work? HELP!!!

My husband just graduated from BT. He left July 27, and I didnt get his first check until Sept. 1. It sucked...I had to get a loan and all kinds of stuff. Sometimes it doesnt take that long and sometimes it takes longer. My husband had to help out one guy that still hadnt gotten paid the beginning of this month. So you never know really.

He only gets paid the 1st and 15th so he only "missed" 1 pay check, the mid-month August.

The "other guy" would be able to get money from the finance unit, pending completion of whatever he needs to get his pay straight.

Actually he missed two. The 1st and the 15th of August.....but that is why I said sometimes it doesnt take that long....and sometimes it is longer. They ended up having to file grievences with the finance dept....which was the only reason they got paid on the 1st of Sept. But anyway luvmyarmyman......it is only supposed to take 14 to 21 days to get all of their info into the systems. Let me know how it works out.
